Our Rates of Pay

RATES OF PAY

The 3 main agreements used in the London area are: The FAA/PACT agreement, the BBC equity agreement and the ITV equity agreement.

FAA/PACT -FAA/PACT -Rates from 1st March 2018
 

DAY RATE

9 hours based upon a 9 hour stipulated period including meal break, between 7am and 10pm(before 7am you will pay nighttime overtime). After 10pm nighttime overtime will apply, unless called as a night shoot.
 

NIGHT RATE

Based on 9 hours stipulated period including meal break, scheduled to extend beyond midnight or to start before 4am.
 

CONTINUOUS WORKING DAY

Based on any 7 continuous hours(without a meal break). After 7 hours overtime will apply, this applies up to 10pm, after 10pm nighttime overtime is applicable.
 

SHIFT CALL

Based on any 4 continuous hours taking place between 6am-11pm,( 15mins overtime payable for 1st hour only), after 4 hours a double shift is payable.

BBC RATES

Hours of work are 9 hours (to include 1 hour for lunch). Night rate is applicable if work is scheduled to go beyond midnight, or begin between 10pm and 7am.

Supporting Artiste
The supporting artiste is not required to give individual characterisation in a role or speak dialogue other than crowd noise or reaction.

Walk-On

Walk-on artiste is not required to give individual characterisation in a role but may be required to impersonate an identifiable individual, to accept individual direction and to speak a few unscripted unimportant words where the precise words spoken do not matter.

Multi Episodic Payment
When more than one programme is recorded in the day an additional 50 per cent of the basic Day Rate is due.

 

ITV Supporting Artiste/Walk-on Rates
 

Walk-on 1
Walk-on 1 is not required to give individual characterisation nor to speak any word or line of dialogue. Crowd noises shall not be deemed to be dialogue in this context. Night rates are one and a half times the day rates.

Walk-On 2
Non-speaking is not required to give individual characterisation but who is required to impersonate an identifiable individual subject under individual direction. Night rates are one and a half times the day rates.

Walk-On 3

Speaking: In addition to carrying out the functions set out in Walk-on 2 shall also be required to speak a very few unimportant words where the precise words spoken do not matter. Night rates are one and a half times the day rates.

ITV Repeat Fees
Repeat fees are based upon day of attendance fees, but adjusted if shown off-peak or on part of the network only. Walk-Ons 2 and 3 are entitled to repeats whenever the programme is re-shown on ITV or Channel 4. Walk-Ons 1 are entitled to repeat payments when the programme is shown more than five years after the first transmission.

ITV Night Rates
Payment for night work is 1.5 times the correct day rate. If recording/rehearsal is scheduled to start before 7.00am or after midnight the entire work period attracts night rate. If work extends beyond midnight (but not scheduled) night rate applies after midnight only. On calls before 7.00am to travel to work/rehearsal, night rate is paid for the hours before 7.00am only.

COMMERCIAL RATES

Hours of work are 10 hours including 1 hour for lunch. Overtime is paid at a fifth of the daily rate. Night shoots are paid time and half of the daily rate. Anyone shooting past midnight will be on a night rate.

PHOTOGRAPHIC RATES

Overtime is charged at a fifth of the daily rate after 10 hours.
Featured artistes will also have a buyout fee, determined by usage.
Background on photographic jobs is £100 for a 10 hour day.

CORPORATE  RATES

Hours of work are 10 hours including 1 hour for lunch. Overtime is paid at a fifth of the daily rate.

POP PROMOS

Hours of work are 10 hours including 1 hour for lunch. Overtime is paid at a fifth of the daily rate.
